Today food is big business, farmers and manufactures will add anything that is legally allowed to enhance their product to maximise profit. This is typical of the food we are now eating. Supermarkets have taken over the supply of our food and most of what we eat is no longer fresh and has often been in storage for many months. What we are eating today is so processed that our meals are nutritional deprived.
To maintain our health and keep us free of diseases we have to feed every cell in our body and we do that with natural food that’s been designed to support life. Food is our medicine we take daily to keep us healthy and disease free because it builds up our immune system and makes us resilient to all ailments from colds and the flue right through to heart disease and cancer.
Natural food is food in its natural state which has been grown in the ground and arrived in our shops directly from a farm and not via a factory. Natural food is full of vitamins, minerals and phytochemicals which the human body needs to maintain health. There are some foods that are classed as super foods or healing food because of their ability to fight diseases to help us regain our health.
There are three vitamins that are essential for anyone to stay free of cancer and they are vitamin A, C and E. There are many foods with these vitamins but are easily gained by eating fresh oranges, avocados, kiwi fruit and berries. It is well known that when a certain food is processed it looses many of the compounds that are helpful.
Other beneficial foods are tomatoes which contain lycopene and are helpful for both prostate and breast cancer patients. Watermelons are full of antioxidants which are known to prevent the formation of free radicals that causes cancer. Lettuces are full of fibre which we need and one of the best foods for a cancer patient is those from the cruciferous family which are broccoli, cauliflower, brussel sprouts, cabbage and spinach.
Other important foods are members of the onion family which include leeks, chives, shallots and especially garlic. Onions are literally packed with valuable compounds and are also full of antioxidants. The more pungent an onion tastes and smells the higher the antioxidant value. Onions are also rich in sulphur compounds and it has been regarded as a cancer fighting nutrient. High onion consumption is thought to be the main reason why there is a lower risk of bowel cancer.Dietary antioxidants which we obtain from these foods are the foundation of cancer prevention and must be consumed on regular bases from a variety of fresh produce.
Our western health care system does not have the answers to cancer with their toxic treatments but nature does through the many foods it produces.
Remember if you can eat food in its natural state that nobody has interfered with then you have a much better chance of beating cancer.
